New Sunday Training Session!!
We have a 2 hour session at Small heath booked this Sunday 19th February 2012 from 3pm to 5pm.
Brian has requested that as many swimmers as possible attend this session as we continue to prepare for our busy Gala schedule and for those swimmer’s who have qualified, the forthcoming Warwickshire County Championships.
The 2 hour session will be split as follows :
3-4pm learn to swim and development swimmers
4-5pm Intermediate, Junior and senior swimmers

Our aim is to offer a family-friendly training schedule that provides quality coaching to maximise every swimmer's potential.

BLYTHE's JUNIORS VICTORIOUS
Blythe Barracudas Swimming Club secured an emphatic win at the Boldmere Junior Gala held at the Wyndley Leisure Centre, Sutton Coldfield on the 7 January.
Blythe’s young swimmers dominated proceedings winning 23 out of the 51 events and achieving a total of 60 personal best times, including relay events.
Blythe’s dominance was clear to see in the relay events where they managed to win 12 out of a possible 19 events demonstrating the strength in depth at the club.

Charity Thanks
We have received a very nice letter from the Motor Neurone Disease Association, thanking us for our fundraising Swim night held a short while ago.
The BBSC committee would also like to add their thanks to all participants and supporters and have added that we hope to repeat this event again next year.
Welcome!
The BBSC Committee are pleased to announce the appointment of a new Head Coach, Brian Cooke. Brian has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and is joining us to continue the development of the swimmers and the Club.
Brian has a proven track record, with 4 years as Head Coach in his previous club, gaining success in league, district and open meet Competitions. He is very enthusiastic and ambitious for the Blythe, and we are certain the Barracudas will continue to thrive and prosper under his guidance.

Congratulations to the trophy winners over the two days of intensive action at Stechford Cascades.

Matt Austin 2nd in 200m Freestyle
Sian Wynn Jones & Amy Greenhill 3rd place in 50m Breaststroke.

We knew it would be tough in Division 2, but a depleted Barracudas' team put in some gutsy performances and we live to fight another day to ensure we retain our place in Division 2.

We have a training session at North Solihull Sports Centre, Chelmsley Wood from 8 - 9pm every Friday. North Solihull SC has an excellent 33-metre pool which will really help swimmers with their stamina training. The address is Conway Road, Chelmsley Wood, Solihull, B37 5LA
